Brighton Photo Festival kicks off this weekend and it’s going to be a great event.  Loads of great companies demonstrating cameras, lights and more and I’ll bet there are discounts around too.  There’s also a mighty impressive line up of speakers including Marko Nurminen, Lomo Kev, the Swing Ninja and, err, me.

I’ve just put the finishing touches to my presentation – it’s called “If you want to shoot crazy show crazy: Establishing your style in a crowded marketplace.”.  In theory it’s about getting people to jump out of trees but it also takes a broad swing at some industry trends and suggests ways to make some serious money from photography.  There are also some of my favourite pictures to look at.

Unfortunately I’ll only be there on the Sunday (Jason and Lauren’s wedding on Saturday!) but on the Saturday there’s a talk by Jaz Ampaw-Farr (crazy name, crazy girl) that will be pretty cool.

Details of the festival on their website.  Oh and it’s free.  See you there?
