It’s hard to believe that it’s about 6 months since my underwater bridal fashion shoot.  At the time I said that “soon” there would be a techie behind the scenes video showing how it was all done.

Well things got kind of busy….anyway, here it is.  All the behind the scenes footage complete with a ton of tips.  Learn how to make your own underwater flash housings for a pound, how to use radio triggers underwater (hint: they don’t work) and most importantly how not to hurt anybody doing it!

And yeah, I think I sound a bit manic towards the end.  L-o-n-g day.  And on the first take I sounded shattered.

Please let me know what you think in the comments below.  And I know quite a few people in the bridal industry check out my site – give me a shout if you’d like me to shoot your collection.  Especially if it’s underwater.  I’d love another go at this.

[BTW: hit 720 and go full screen to appreciate what a great job Aidan from Artistic Eye did]

Wow, how awesome is this video! Great to see some ‘behind the scenes’ footage :) Great safety tips!

Excellent video Jonathan. As you say, had almost forgotten about this shoot.

So many things to consider and an awful lot of information contained with in. Well worth a watch in its own right, not just to see how to conduct a shoot of this type.

I also think it’s an excellent video Jonathan. Very good production values (worth watching at HD full screen). I thought there was plenty of information for those who need it, and also some great shots and an interesting story for those like me who are not likely to try this myself.

Boy Ryan you sure have done some amazing photography. Just think at one time you were an accountant .

Um no, my sister is the accountant…. :)

(BTW Ryan is my last name – yes I get that a lot……)
