This weekend I had a few friends visit me in Canterbury. They are all keen amateur photographers so dragged heavy cameras, lenses and tripods all over town. I can carry too much gear with the best of them but this was my day off and I was in my home town so I just packed a compact and took a couple of fun snaps around town.
Here’s my favourite – it’s also my favourite stained glass in Canterbury Cathedral. It’s a detail from the Peace window by Ervin Bossanyi and shows all the people of the world being welcomed together.
For camera geeks – Canon G9 at 1/8 second. Even on days off I can practise hand holding in low light.
