This is a room that strikes fear into the heart of any Kent wedding photographer.  It’s the diorama at Quex Park.  Aka “the wet weather plan for group pictures”.  Aka “one of the hardest rooms to take pictures in anywhere in Kent”.

Every time I’ve worked at Quex Park it has been lovely weather and we’ve been able to take group pictures outside.  I’ve said before that it would have to be raining pretty hard to make me use this room.  There’s mixed lighting, a high ceiling and plenty of glass surfaces to throw flash straight back at you.  Plus the cases full of stuffed animals are nicely lit meaning the light is everywhere you don’t want it for portraits.

So you can imagine my delight when I was asked to photograph the floor here for a new website for Kent’s Commercial Flooring Specialists Christie and Cochlin.  Fortunately they didn’t need any people in the shot which simplified things enormously.  You can see more of the work I did for them on their website.
