If you were a fan of the old MyWeddingStory website then you’ll know that roughly once a year I refresh the look and feel of the site.  Times and tastes change and every year I can do more with the site.  And if you have been watching closely, you’ll have seen that this year is a bit different.  No facelift for MyWeddingStory.

Instead something a little different.  A brand new website.

After 4 years, it’s time to say “goodbye” to MyWeddingStory and “hello” to WeddingsByRyan.  Or rather PeopleByRyan.  After six months planning, a lot of late nights, blood, sweat and plenty of tears I am re-branding my photography business.  Still the same great photography, still the same laid back style, still the same dreadful jokes.  But this time it’s a bit more than a facelift.

People used to ask me if I did anything apart from weddings.  “Yes I have another brand called Kidography for children”.  Oh, anything else.  “Well yes, I also take fashion pictures, portraits, events, all kinds of things.”  And then it hit me.  I’m not a wedding photographer.  I’m a people photographer.  Sometimes those people are children, sometimes they are grown ups and yes, pretty often they are getting married.

So here it is: PeopleByRyan.  You can also go to WeddingsByRyan.com for the dedicated weddings micro site.  And yes, there will be other micro sites as the brand grows.

As always, I ask you to bear with me – things may be a little rough around the edges for a while.  But I think it’s worth a little disruption for a cleaner, faster, easier to use website.  And to stop people asking “what else do you do?” weddings everything else A new website

I’ll be migrating all the content over from MyWeddingStory “soon” and then the site will really start to rock.  In the meantime I’ve put up some stories from 2010 along with my portfolio and prices page.  Should be enough to keep you happy for a while.
