Some people spend weeks planning their wedding.  Some people spend months.  Some even years.  Ever wish you could leave everything to your friends?  Would you?  Could you?

That’s what Gemma and Adam did.  They handed over the planning of the whole thing to WeddingTV, Kelly from Orchid Weddings and their family and friends.  Oh and if that wasn’t tough enough, they had a rigid budget and didn’t get to know what was happening until the big day itself.

Turned out alright though…

Amazingly, this is Gemma’s first look at her wedding dress.  She’s tried it on before of course.  But then she was blindfolded.

And outside her carriage awaited…

Mmmmm…..

Oh and in case you didn’t see all the dress – it spread out beautifully as Gemma raced down the street to see her beautiful Rolls Royce.

And Gemma and Adam didn’t even know where they were getting married.  They didn’t do too badly though.  A gorgeous little 13th century church in Sussex.  Just walking in you could feel the air of peace and serenity that comes from the stone being there for a very long time indeed.  Looks nice too…

Even if they had spent months agonising over it, Gemma and Adam couldn’t have planned the weather.  Weddings in October can always be a bit hit and miss but you know, even that worked out perfectly.  Even if it was one of those days – gorgeous one minute…

..followed by just a little “liquid sunshine” the next…

But once inside, there was not doubt that Gemma and Adam both thought that everything was perfect.

And in front of all their family and friends who had helped so much with the day…

…Gemma and Adam were married..

Which seemed to go down pretty well with everyone.

And of course, everyone wanted a picture of the new Mr and Mrs Knell.

And of course the sun came out to give us some gorgeous backlighting.

Then we were off to Lindfield Golf Club for the reception.  Another surprise for the bride and groom.  Though not for the 14 (count them – FOURTEEN!) groomsmen.  Who didn’t scrub up too badly…

And I must say that Mr and Mrs Knell looked rather fabulous under the trees.  This was an important picture – a few weeks ago I said in front of TV cameras that this would make an ideal spot for photographs.  So really I had to make it work.

All too soon it was time for the first dance.  Complete with confetti.

Now it’s a little bit odd here.  Because I hadn’t met Gemma and Adam before their wedding and they hadn’t seen any of my work.  So it was something of a relief that they trusted me enough to lead them out into the middle of a pitch dark field for one last picture….

See?  I told you it would all turn out beautifully.

Gemma and Adam are off on honeymoon at the moment (can’t say where or it would give the show away!) but you can leave thoughts and wishes for them below.  There will be laods more pictures when they get back – and of course you’ll be able to see them on WeddingTV “soon”….
