Remember Georgina and Tom? I did a pre wedding shoot for them a few weeks ago. Well, what happens after the pre wedding? Yep, the wedding.
And what a wedding. The ancient and beautiful Cobham Church followed by the rather exclusive Owls Castle. And yes, the weather smiled on us. Grab yourself a coffee because I have loads of pictures to show you.
Here are the guys. Note that they all have beautiful wooden tankards. It’s not that they had started drinking really early (of course they hadn’t….not with an emergency dash to Bluewater to fix a wardrobe malfunction…) it’s that Tom had bought them as gifts for his 6 groomsmen.

Actually with 5 ushers a best man and of course the groom, you’d think I might struggle knowing who was who. No problem. They were all labelled….

But enough of the guys for the moment. I know you all want to see the bride.
Here she is, looking fabulous. And ever so relaxed.

Unlike her father, Mike.

In fairness there are 2 things you should know about that picture
- Mike has 3 daughters. He’s probably used to waiting.
- I gave just the tiniest bit of direction….”Hey Mike, look at your watch and look exasperated…”.
I don’t think he minded waiting for Georgina at all. AT ALL…

Yes, it’s going to be a wonderful day.
Especially once the bridesmaids have secured a ride to the church…

And just look at the walk up to the church…

..with daffodils just in flower. Picture perfect? Yes. Luck? No. Georgina’s parents had been down there weeks before planting bulbs. Now that‘s planning.
By the way, check out the clock on the church. Spot on time.
Just in time to take Tom’s breath away….

[That was taken by Mike my assistant - which is how come you can just about see me at the front of the church.]
And what a church….

There’s something about old churches. It may be the weight of the centuries, it may be the coolness of the stone, but on Saturday it was the light. I don’t know what bargains had been made but the sun shone and everything was perfect.

As they exited the church, you have to say that the new Mr and Mrs Kivlin were mighty popular with the photographers….

…before they took their taxis to Owls Castle for the traditional post wedding celebrations of, err, air hockey…

…and pub pool….

Then we went off and took some rather wonderful portraits if I do say so myself. But those are staying under wraps until Tom and Georgina have seen them…
In the meantime, how’s this for a great idea to steal? Table place holders made of Lego.

And if you want a break from tradition, then how about the father of the groom making a speech?

But the most fun thing had to be Owl’s Castle’s traditional and unique cheese cake for desert.

Before it was finally time for the first dance…

Now if you were a fan of MyWeddingStory then you’ll know I can never resist a night portrait. WeddingsByRyan is no different. I promised the same photography my clients love just with a different website. So here we go, the first WeddingsByRyan signature night portrait…
