You know how frantic it can get when a bride’s getting ready? People rushing everywhere, panic, mayhem and bustle? Not that…
When I arrived, Hannah was calm, collected and, well, pretty much ready. Just time for a few finishing touches (such as bridesmaid Lizzie making me a cup of coffee!), and then the wait.
Downstairs Mark was waiting too. Waiting for Hannah to make her entrance down those stairs. Anybody who knows Cooling Castle Barn will know about the stairs.
There are only 11 of them. But with heels, a beautiful Mark Leslie dress and everybody watching, well they can give you pause for thought.
Then it was on to the wedding itself, in the main marriage barn at Cooling.
And of course, once the ring was on, everybody wanted a look. Even Hannah.
After the wedding there were plenty of uncles jostling for position.
And of course we found time to pop out in front of that famous entrance for a few pictures.
Before it was time for the reception.
One great idea for your wedding day is to have the speeches before the meal. It means groom, father of the bride and best man can all relax during the meal knowing their bit is done. And it keeps the speeches short too! That’s what Hannah and Mark chose to do.
And after dinner comes the best bit….cake.
And of course dancing.
See? I got all the way to the end without mentioning the rain. Oh yes. It did that. Quite a lot actually.
Hannah and Mark are off somewhere considerably warmer (and probably drier) very soon, but you can leave your comments for them below. And if you’re on Facebook just hit the “like” button to share this.
