I knew it was going to be a good day.

Beautiful bride? Check.

Handsome groom? Check.

Wonderful venue? Check. Well if you count a fantastic, privately owned castle with amazing views down to the sea.

Then Christine turned up with some of the best roses I’ve seen all year.

And that’s without mentioning the bridesmaids (that’s Gayle, Helen and Melissa above), the two best men, the two users and the two usherettes…..oh and family and friends too.

Here’s Caroline walking down the aisle accompanied by her father John to marry her fiance John. Just out of shot is best man (or one of them) also called Jon. Things got slightly confusing…

And talking of names, if you’re getting married at a castle and there’s a church just next door then it’s a great idea to go for a blessing. If the vicar is called Reverend Love then I think it’s mandatory.

And on the way back there was time for confetti

Before walking down the beautiful approach to the castle.

Of course, as in every fairy tale, not everything could go perfectly. The benefit of sea views are the wonderful views. The downside is the “bracing” air they can bring.

Still in a sheltered corner of the garden, all was well.
