Midweek weddings can be a lot of fun. Often they are quiet, intimate affairs with just a few close friends. Well, Justine and Simon had invited just a few close friends to their wedding at Tunbridge Wells Register Office last Friday. But there’s no way it was a quiet wedding ![]()
Here’s Justine. Hiding behind a tree. Badly.
Actually she’s peeping round to make sure that she can’t see Simon. Which you have to admit, isn’t a great plan for avoiding seeing him She looks happy enough though! Possibly because he was already safely inside and all ready for the wedding.

And how is this for a pair of wedding rings? Beatiful gemstones set into Justine’s and some Roman numerals carvedinto Simon’s. At least he’ll never be able to forget his anniversary – that’s the date engraved there for ever.

The marriage room at Tunbridge Wells is beautiful. Gorgeous chandeliers, delicate shades of yellow on the walls and (my own favourite) plenty of light. Oh and lots of happy people too!

And after the ceremony, Justine got showered with confetti by Gemma….

…while Simon shows everyone just how pleased he is with his new ring.

Later it was on to the Bottle House Inn for drinks and the wedding breakfast. How’s this for a great idea? There was no table plan, just stones with each guest’s name handpainted on. People picked up their pebble, chose a seat and got on with the party.

But what’s all this about noise? Ah, that would be all the bikers they invited to their wedding. And of course they couldn’t resist speeding off into the distance on two wheels….

Of course in the interests of them not being arrested I should point at that that image has been “breathed on” in Photoshop to make it look like they were going a little faster than they actually were. You can tell this because
- Of course they would wear crash helmets rather than tiaras
- Simon’s feet are on the floor….
They will be back from honeymoon soon but why not leave your message for them below?
