When I arrived at Nic’s mother’s house in the morning it was like a magpie’s nest – with gorgeous sparkly things everywhere. Then some fabulous flowers turned up and things got well and truly underway.
With three bridesmaids to get ready as well as Nic, make up artist Donna had plenty to keep her busy. [By the way it was good to catch up with Donna again - last time I saw her was just over 2 years ago!]
And then it was finally time for Nic to slip into her dress with a little help from her sister, Phoebe.
And as I often say, the guys were just a little more relaxed. And as that often means…..Liam was relaxing in the pub. With a glass of coke. Honest.
His best man Ben was taking no chances – making sure that everybody knew just who he was and what he was doing there.
The wedding was at Kent Life in Maidstone (which used to be called “The Museum of Kent Life” until its make over) and while everybody else parked down in the car park (or more likely in the pub so they could have a swift half before wandering up the hill) Nic got special priviledges and was allowed to drive right to the door.
And inside Ulcombe Village Hall (which is of course nowhere near Ulcombe! It was moved to the museum), Liam Mandeville married Nic Wright. In a village hall decked with bunting for the occasion.
And then after the wedding, just to spice things up a little it, err, rained. Quite a lot actually.
Though of course a little drop of rain couldn’t dampen the spirits of the 4 Charlies Angles girls. Glitter, Jedi, Funky and, err, Spanky. Or something like that
. Glitter’s the
ne in
white frock.
And of course it would take more than a little rain to stop me taking portraits of Liam and Nic in the grounds of Kent Life. I mean we had umbrellas and everything.
Yeah that’s actual real rain falling…. ![]()
Then it was almost time for Ben’s speech. Which he’d been looking forward to all day. For anybody who missed it, I have proof that the official time was 12 minutes 46 seconds dead.
Just don’t ask about the flip flops hanging from the rafter….
And finally some dancing. Rather a lot of dancing actually.
Lots and lots of dancing…
Oh, did I say finally? There’s always time for one more picture. Night, rain, an umbrella and a little MyWeddingStory magic ![]()
Nic and Liam will be back in a couple of weeks but please leave your messages for them below.
