I don’t know what amazed me more about Chris and Paula’s wedding: That Paula made pretty much everything herself or that everybody at the wedding was grinning all day.  Anyway, here’s one of the things that Paula didn’t make.  At the last minute she told me that she’d given up making confetti and bought some petals.

Here’s Paula marrying Chris in the oldest church in the city/county/country/world (depending who you ask and how you count them).  Home made (and designed) dress, home made tiara (more of that later) and a h-u-g-e smile o her face (plenty more of those to come).

And there’s no doubting that once they were married there was no way Chris and Paula were going to let go of each other.  That’s quite a grip…

And then it was back to the big grins and laughter.  Whilst the witnesses were signing the register…

…outside the church…

….and during a short portrait session…

In fact it was infectious.  Even the keyboard player got in on the act…

Chris and Paula had put an amazing amount of work into their wedding and are clearly very talented people.  How’s this for a tiara that Paula just “knocked up” for herself…?

And a splendid wedding cake.

There are some things best left to professionals though.  The wedding rings created by Justin Richardson were some of the most amazing and beautiful I’ve seen.  And of course everybody wanted to look.

But some things can be handled without professionals.  Like a very quick trip to the local supermarket to fix a small shortfall in the quantity of champagne…

And of course that small “disaster” was greeted with laughter all round.  What else did you expect on such a joyous day?

Paula and Chris booked me at very short notice and I was only at their wedding for a couple of hours.  They got a great price!  Some 2010 dates are still available – just get in touch to talk about a last minute deal.
