Emily and David were married at Brands Hatch Place Hotel in May 2010. You can see their first “teaser” post here and the full wedding here. This is their unedited review of their wedding photography from WeddingsByRyan.

“We want contemporary, modern, fashionable shots”. And that is exactly what Jonathan Ryan provided. We felt one of the most important selections of our Wedding day was a photographer who would capture every emotion, every laugh, every smile.
After perusing through the many thousands of photographers and their websites on the Internet, we came across Jonathan’s site. We were instantly impressed by the professional layout and presentation of his work. After skimming through his online portfolio (being amazed by each shot), we made contact and arranged a meeting at his studio in Canterbury.
Arriving at his gorgeous wooden cabin/studio instantly made us feel like we had made the right choice to select Jonathan as our photographer. We were made to feel right at home as we looked through his printed portfolio in a welcomed and relaxed atmosphere. He made it very clear that it was our day and that he would shoot it as we wanted it. We wanted very few ‘posed’ shots and more contemporary, modern and fashionable shots. Jonathan was quick to praise our choice as he likes to shoot his pictures this way.
On the Wedding day, Jonathan arrived very early to shoot the preparation of the bridal party. This led on to the arrival of the male bridal party (I hired an Aston Martin V8 Vantage for 5 days which Jonathan wanted a ride in on the way to the next photo shoot). Jonathan blended in with all of the guests and you hardly ever noticed he was there. He is a true professional. He kept everyone focussed (no pun intended) on what shot he was trying to capture. He shot right up until the first dance and the arrival of the evening guests.
Jonathan posted 8 pictures up on his website as a teaser before we went on our honeymoon. The shots he posted looked incredible. If these shots were anything to go by, we were about to be blown away. We arranged to see Jonathan two days after our Honeymoon and to say we were excited was an understatement. We met up at his studio and viewed the ‘highlights of our Wedding day’. We were right, the shots were absolutely incredible and captured the day beautifully. I have no idea where he gets his inspirations from but when you see the shots, you just have to admire his technical ability.
We are often asked what our best bit of advice is when it comes to planning a Wedding? Our advice, get Jonathan Ryan to shoot your Wedding.
