There’s a fashion going around. It’s called “Trash the Dress” or “Rock the Dress” or something similar. We’ve even heard of one company calling it “Dirty Bride” shoots….

The idea is simple, you don’t really need that dress any more so you may as well take it out and get it dirty on a photoshoot. It’s a cool idea but I think it’s just wrong.

Why ruin a perfectly good dress on a photoshoot when you can get great results the WeddingsByRyan way?

We spent a great morning recently shooting with Tahlia from Mum’s the Word. A quick shoot with the last of the bluebells and then down to a beach. The only thing we didn’t do was trash the dress – we didn’t even get it dirty. Because there’s no need. You can check out a couple of short slideshows from the shoots below (warning: they have music!). And then you can give me a call or drop me an email to book your own session.

Of course if you want to trash your dress then let me know and I’ll come and watch. I’ll even take pictures. But if you want stunning pictures from a professional photographer without wantonly destroying a dress then get in touch with WeddingsByRyan. Your own private shoot starts at £99 – and no dry cleaning bills.

Just hit the little “play” triangle to start the show. You can stop them again by pressing “pause”. Just don’t watch them both at once. It will work but the music will go mad!
