Wow! That must have been the busiest wedding fair EVER!
Thank you to everybody who stopped by the stall and for all your lovely comments. And a really big thank you to all the couples who booked on the day. Detling show is always manic and if I’m impressing you enough to book in the middle of all that mayhem I must be doing something right.
And if you didn’t get a chance to talk then I’m sorry. The stall was extremely busy and I was running on constant Red Bull by the end. If you’d like to talk then just drop your details in the contact form on the right and I’ll be in touch. It’s a lot quieter and more relaxed at the gallery.
Big launch #1
At Detling show I launched a major new project – Fabulous Wedding Ideas. Nearly 300 people picked up a copy of my disk featuring over 700 fabulous ideas for your wedding. There are chapters on details and finishing touches, dresses and flowers and a whole wedding to view. There’s also a selection of my favourite pictures from last year arranged by a top video producer which looks amazing. If you missed out on a copy (and we were running low by the end of the day!) then you can request one here.
Big launch #2
If you dropped by the stall you will have seen our beautiful new show album. Like all our albums it features a real wedding from end to end. However, this one’s a little special. Lots of people have said how much they love my black and white images so the whole album is in black and white. I think it looks amazing and feedback was very very positive. If you missed it then why not make an appointment to see it at the gallery?
Most interesting question of the day
A lady stopped by the stand to ask about wedding photography and epilepsy. The bride suffers badly with epilepsy and so do some of the guests. She was very concerned about photography since flashguns can easily trigger an attack.
I was very happy to tell her that photography is the last thing she needs to worry about if she chooses MyWeddingStory. Using advanced photographic techniques and the latest cameras there is no need for me to use flash. Often I’ll use it to enhance a picture but I’m not afraid of the dark! I told her I’d be happy to leave all the flashguns at home and that the pictures would still be stunning. And of course I backed this promise up with details of our “try before you buy” offer.
See you next time?
Of course we’ll be back at Detling in the autumn. It’s actually the only wedding fair that I attend so you won’t see me anywhere else. Best plan is to make an appointment at the gallery in Canterbury. 2009 is pretty heavily booked now but some dates are still available. 2010 is booking strongly and we’ve already taken some clients for 2011.
So, see you at the next fair. But don’t leave it until then or you may miss out!
